Winter Trip to China: First Stop, Beijing

My Journey back to the motherland totals 25 days! First stop Beijing after 20 hrs of flight and a layover in HK. First restaurant I stopped at?!?!? Yuppp. McDonald's!!

Day1, 1st Stop! Temple of Heaven.
I was told that this was where the king worshipped on New Years!

This is the longest corridor in China. It was part of this attraction.

Meager meal: Tour food sucks! It was not just not good. It was nasty.

Dinner in Beijing. We were served peking duck. It was too greasy for my taste.

Cutting skills looked pretty good!

Day 2: Great wall of China

China is pretty amazing with its landscapes.

Wish I had more time walking and hiking more sections of this masterpiece from hundred years ago.

As we finished walking the great wall, we've stumbled across this small temple that was so beautiful.  It really looks like something that came out dramas. The snow so gently spread across the ground and not a footstep to be found.

Dinner for day 2 was not covered and the tour part also ended early. So we went to Quanjude, as we were told that they had the best duck in town. But since I am not a person to crave gamey meat, this duck did not strike my fancy.

Nice presentation. Horrible service.

Street Food.

Wongfujing.

Dragon Beard Candy

Beijing is really into their yogurts!!

Next stop, XiAn!

Cest la vie.
