The month of June..

This has been one crazy, busy month, and it going by way to quickly. I wish there were more hours in a day.

First week of June: TOFU and Soy Festival. Very small festival in Japantown in San Francisco. There were food vendors, games, and tents with  cute soy and tofu treats and snacks. And there was also...

This gaint dinosaur! I swear it did try to eat me! but good thing I was able to talk him out of it!

Then I made a new friend. ...Miss Tofu...

Ate this cute mochi. If i didn't remember wrong, I believe its watermelon favor.

Then we went downtown, did a little shopping, and then we went back home and from there the laziness started. We were so lazy that cooking was not an option and so wasn't going out, so we opted for delivery. People can not get any lazier...

Second week of June: I went to Baltimore, MA for the ASMS conference and attended a short course. It was very informative and I learned a lot...kind of.... but over all I would say it was a good trip. I met lots of people, read lots of posters, and listened to lots of talks..
Since we got to Baltimore a day early we did a little site seeing. We stayed at the Hilton which was connected to the convention center and not too far from the harbor.

This beautiful day turned.....

Dark, gloomy, rainy, and cold within mins. These 2 pictures were taken 15 mins apart. We were on the water taxi when they dropped us off and told us that taxi service will resume after the storm.. my thought "what storm....." and needless to say I was soaked...

Water Taxi

Can't go to Baltimore without trying their lump of crab cake.

And blue crab..

And clams...

And blue crab cake...can't get better then the 2 in 1

911 Memorial metal...This piece really makes you stand there and think...

The view outside my hotel room window.

We also went to Bubba Gump.. I really like the movie Forest Gump so I had to take this picture!

Third week of June: Annual birthday high tea with Emily. Thanks!

Then we went to a succulent event and the shopping at Palo Alto. Super fun weekend!

Good night world. I am super tired.

My Weekend: Mission Peak

Mission Peak: Honestly I wanted to climb Mission Peak because I wanted a picture with that pole that everyone has on Facebook. After seeing so many pictures, I decided to get one myself, so I convinced a friend to hike it with me. Driving there alone took an hr. We got there at 11:30 to the parking lot and the hike starts with ...... Lots of cows......
Lots of cows just chilling on this warm day. I decided to come this weekend because the weather was suppose to be cool with an overcast.... totally not true.. Thank God for sunscreen and a light jacket... I rather sweat to death then burn to death... I burn quick.. quicker then cooking an egg under the sun...

No one ever mentioned that there was nothing at Mission Peak except for dried grass, cows, flys, all sorts of bugs, skinny squirrels, slippery rocks, dust, and no wind....

In the beginning the higher we got the tinier the houses got and cooler the view...

..Then it got to dry and I started to run out of water...and the complaining starts.....

To me this was the 1/2 way mark and I needed a picture.... Here was also where people started telling me 20 more minutes.. So not true... I was told 20 more mins 3 times before getting to the top....

I finally made it... All that work for this picture... =) Achievement?

Going down there was also nothing but dry grass and slipper rocky road...

The squirrel didn't move for a very very very long time. I think its hungry...

This cow was super close to us. So close that I can almost touch it... but its got wayyyyyy too many flys covering it... Closest I ever been to a cow... and I went to Davis for undergrad....

This was my reward for completing Mission Peak. It was well deserved. =)

Thanks to my friend Emily always going along with my crazy ideas. Skydiving is next. =)

"Today will be the youngest we will ever be again!!"

Sunday: Ikea to exchange something and the Maleficent. It was a good movie. Sunday was a day to rest and taking it slow. It was much needed after Mission peak.

My Weekend: San Francisco Memorial Day weekend

Memorial Day weekend might of been a long weekend but I honest didn't take too many pictures because I rather focus on the people I was with then to take pictures of food and my surroundings. I had a blast with friends that (some) I haven't seen in years. I really miss the good days back in college when we were all together. This weekend was on of those weekends where most of them came back.

Saturday: I went hiking with a friend and watched a movie with another friend.

Saturday Lunch. I was quite proud of myself for perfecting soft boil eggs.

Laid there for a while and watched the bird.

Sunday: I started the day pretty early. I went to the farmers market and Trader Joes to buy enough food to last me a week. Then in the afternoon Damon, Stacy, Donna, Alex, Jenny and I went to high tea at Rotunda above Neiman Marcus. Then we came back to my house and played just dance for a couple of hours before heading to dessert with Cesar. There we met his girlfriend and her cousin. It was just really nice catching up.

To die for!!! Popover with Strawberry cream.

I got the Decaff Vanilla Black Tea (lacked tea taste)

Tier of heaven!! My favorite would be the scone and the chocolate crunch bar.

Since mine was ehhhh, good thing I got to try other kinds of tea!

BFFs after just dance

Monday rolls around and I had another productive morning! I got up at 8:30am. Got ready and went to the salon to get some hair products. Then went to the Korean market to get snacks for my brother's GF (brain food before finals.) Came home mopped and vacuumed the floor while washing 2 loads of laundry.  Then went dim sum with friends. After dim sum, came back to my house and talked for a couple of hours.

At night I drove my BFF from 5th grade home and had dinner with her parents. It was really nice to see them after so many years. I remember playing at their house almost every weekend as a child.
 Here she is with Nala.

Me and Emily. We use to hang out at each others house and talks, do hair, listen to music...etc
As we got older, went to different high schools and different colleges, we didn't really get the chance to hang out as much. But each time we are together, we are like kids again.

I love Nala! She is such a cute and energetic puppy!!

My Weekend: Asian Heritage Fair & Ferry Building & Family BBQ

I have to say I had a very happy and eventful weekend! Got up Saturday morning and went straight to the Asian Heritage Fair. It was really fun and eventful there. First stop was to the Nature's Timber Garden's booth because my friend Emily really wanted a cute plant for her cube/office.

Family owned business. Super friendly and nice!!

So many cute plants making it super difficult to choose one!! Eventually we did and they were so nice to hold it for us until we finished walking around the fair.

Watched performances. But not really, we got our Bahn Mi and sat down and things ended. -_- Very poor timing on our parts! And I didn't get to see Jin!!! BOOO =(

They asked if we wanted to take a picture and we said yes! lol

Walked around a bit more and came to this Dragonboat recruiting booth! OMG I miss the DB days! I can't do it any more because the water is too gross. =(

Took the bus back to the car to drop off plants and we went to the Ferry building and came across this. I decided to third wheel! HAHA

Beautiful tall buildings! So So So peaceful looking out at the bay and watching the bay bridge.

Selfies by the bay..Failed fishbowl picture...
Had to stop by this while walking to the car. Next time I want to climb the bow! =)

Our plants collection!! ( Help.. I don't know how to turn this picture around. =( )

Sunday = Funday. Family day BBQ. No special occasion.

Salt, pepper, garlic salmon.
 Sweet yams, corn, and octopus.

 Chicken wings and corn.

Not so sweet refreshing watermelon.
 .
 Rainie trying to stay cool.
 Mochi too!

Ending my weekend with folding laundry, writing blog, face mask, youtube, and packing my lunch. Wished the weekends were as long as weekdays! hahah A girl can still dream!
